The Movement
Since forming in 2017, Proud2bOps has built a strong presence and professional home for operational managers and leaders. Based on our operational movement, operational management is greater recognised as a profession and through the network, has greater parity with other professional roles: HR, Finance, Nursing, Medical as examples.
As a movement, we have long had in place a set of shared values, behaviours and principles that sit at the heart of who and what we are and how we do things through the network. Proud2bOps is a social movement and we have long held a guiding ambition to recognise and support a wide spectrum of operational leads and managers across the health and care environment.
Building on our success and credibility as the professional home for Ops, the time is now to further spread our shared purpose, values, and presence as an operational workforce. To support not only the most senior operational managers and to support our aspiring and talented operational workforce. It is time for Proud2bOps@.

Proud2bOps@ launched in June 2023, introducing an operational movement at a Trust, System and Organisation level. Bolton NHS Foundation Trust took the elite position as the first Trust in England to proudly launch their own network - Proud2bOps@BoltonFT.
Since launched, we have secured multiple organisations and passionate operational managers to introduce and adopt an operational movement within their Trust. This has been for varying reasons and all we are confident will resonate; recognition, influence, recruitment, and retention, developing people and collectively exploring and co-creating operational improvement.
