Meet Suresh

Suresh is currently working as a Head of Service at Midlands Partnership
Foundation Trust in United Kingdom, responsible and accountable for the Specialist Nursing and AHP portfolio. Nurse by background with 25 years of experience in Clinical, Management and Leadership. Suresh was dual qualified in India and continued as a mental health nurse in UK, managed various services of Acute and Older adult within the urgent care mental health Division & Forensic mental health. Led many service development & transformation projects. Working collaboratively across the ICB with various stakeholders to improve the health care provision by understanding population health and addressing the health inequalities.

Suresh is also the EDI Chair in his Organisation focused on addressing the health and Workforce inequalities. Trained as a Cultural Ambassador (CA) and worked on reducing the risk of discrimination faced by the ethnic minority staffs during the disciplinary process, has supported the policy level changes to make sure that there is a representation of CA in HR cases where BAME staffs involved. Completed the senior leadership Programme -Rosalind Franklin through NHS leadership academy. Proud to be a Global Scholar in Florence Nightingale Foundation and the Alumni of the Windsor leadership.

Suresh had a vision of bringing the Indian Nurses together to have a strong voice in the UK health care system, hence Co-founded the British Indian Nurses Association (BINA). Continue to volunteer as a General Secretary in BINA and working with the team to inspire and support many Nurses. Proud to say that becoming an EDI Ambassador for Proud2bOps is the joy of my journey in addressing the inequalities faced by all protective characteristics and improve the experiences of people within the operational world.
